The Premium Visa is valid for a period of one year, with an option to renew, to encourage valued travelers to come to Mauritius as tourists, retirees or professionals.
Staying free in an idyllic setting, an authentic experience that could only be achieved on vacation is now available with the Premium Visa at any non-citizen who intends to stay in Mauritius for a period of one year as a tourist, retiree or as a professional wishing to exercise his activity or work remotely from Mauritius, in the company of the family.
To qualify for the premium visa, interested visitors must provide proof of their long-stay plans and adequate travel and health insurance for the initial period of stay while meeting the following criteria:
- Applicants should not enter the Mauritian labor market;
- the main place of business and/or the source of income and profits must be outside Mauritius
- Documentary evidence to support the application, such as the purpose of the visit, accommodation, etc. and
- other basic immigration requirements (all other entry requirements for Mauritius currently in force will also apply)
